We provide a wide range of booklets for people living with cancer, their families, friends and carers.

You can find booklets about:

  • information on different cancer types

  • the practical and emotional impacts of cancer
  • advice on things important to you like healthy eating and staying active
  • information for carers.

You can also order easy read and translated resources, or useful items such as a toilet card.

The toilet card and key ring is designed to help people living with cancer to get urgent access to toilet facilities.

Coping with fatigue (tiredness)

This booklet is for those who have fatigue because of cancer or its treatments. It includes ways to manage it, including diet, exercise, relaxation, and sleep.

Holistic Needs Assessment

Use this resource to learn more about Holistic Needs Assessments (HNA). It has information about how care is planned for people affected by cancer.

Healthy eating and cancer

This is a resource for people affected by cancer, who want to know more about a healthy diet. It explains why diet is important, and has tips on how to eat well and maintain a healthy body weight.

  • What is Macmillan Orders? Did it replace be.Macmillan?

    Macmillan Orders is your one-stop shop to get printed copies of our cancer information and materials you need.

    If you have ordered our printed information and materials before, you may have used be.Macmillan. Macmillan Orders was created to replace be.Macmillan and make it easier to find and order what you're looking for.

  • Do I need a Macmillan Orders account to place an order? Do I need to register again if I used be.Macmillan?

    You can browse most of our resources and download PDF versions without logging into an account. However, if you would like to order a printed copy of any of our resources you will need to login or make an account to place an order.

    If you created or used a be.Macmillan account between 1 September 2019 and 29 August 2024 you will have received an email. This email will have invited you to activate your new Macmillan Orders account.

    If you did not receive this email:

    1. Please check to see if this email is in your spam inbox
    2. Try creating a new account with the same email address as your previous be.Macmillan account.

    If you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Service Operations Support team by email serviceopssupport@macmillan.org.uk. The team can make sure that we have the correct email address for you in our Macmillan Professionals Database.

  • How often are resources on Macmillan Orders updated? How can I know if a title has been discontinued?

    See our information resources list for a spreadsheet of all our information resources that we currently have. It includes the dates when they are next due to be revised.

    If you have any questions about whether a resource has been discontinued, please email support@order.macmillan.org.uk.

  • How can I return unneeded items?

    We can only accept returned items that are in a good condition, and the information is still in date or up to a maximum of 6 months past the review date.

    When returning stock, please note that:

    • Macmillan is unable to pay the costs of returning any stock
    • You need to include a note in the parcel stating the full MAC code for each resource. These are found on the back cover of the booklet with the review date information (i.e. MAC1261_E05_R) and the quantity you are returning. Please also write 'return to stock' on the note.

  • Can you recycle Macmillan booklets?

    Yes, you can recycle any booklets that you no longer need or that are out of date. All our booklets are printed on recyclable paper.

  • What other ways can I access the cancer information booklets and resources?

    Many of our booklets are available to download. This includes our easy read booklets.

    We have also made many of our booklets into audiobooks which can be downloaded and listened to at any time.

    Some of our information has also been translated into different languages. You can search for these on Macmillan Orders, or visit our cancer information and help in your own language page.

  • Can I request a resource to be translated?

    If you cannot find a resource in the language your patient uses, you can ask for some information to be translated for free in one of 200 languages.

    Email us at informationproductionteam@macmillan.org.uk and tell us what information you need.

    You can also view cancer information and help in many different languages for free on our website. This includes videos with subtitles and downloadable PDFs.
