We're offering you the chance to write your will for free.

There is no obligation to leave Macmillan a gift in your will, but we hope that after looking after your loved ones, you’ll consider leaving a percentage of your estate to us as well.

Every gift we receive is essential. Each one means we’ll be able to keep doing whatever it takes to support people who need us in the future.

When you’ve registered, you can start writing your will straight away and you’ll also receive a confirmation email with a copy of the link if you’d rather complete it later. The will must be completed within 6 months of registering.

Once you have submitted your will instructions

Irwin Mitchell will acknowledge receipt within 2 working days and contact you if they have any questions.

Once your will is ready
Once happy with the complete instructions, they aim to send your will within 10 working days.

Receiving your postal will writing pack
You will receive your will writing pack in the post within 5 working days.

Completing your postal will writing pack

We recommend completing and returning within 2 months of receipt.

Irwin Mitchell will acknowledge receipt within 2 working days. Once reviewed they may be in touch to clarify your requirements and will be in touch within 10 working days with your will for signing.

Once you've registered, you will receive a link to Farewill’s website to arrange a call back at a time and date that is convenient for you. Alternatively, you can call Farewill directly where a will writing specialist will discuss your requirements and if the service is suitable, they will book in your telephone will writing appointment. Please note, there is a cancellation fee of £20 for unattended appointments if Farewill do not receive at least 24 hours’ notice of cancellation.

Farewill will draft the will according to your wishes within 10 working days and contact you if they have any further questions.

Once your will is ready
Depending on your preference, you will receive your will by post or email. If by email, you will need to print the will out and then follow the instructions to ensure that your will is properly signed and witnessed.
