Please phone or email us to check our opening times and availability before visiting our Centre. The Christie at Oldham offers free, confidential information and support to anyone affected by cancer. This includes information and advice about: talking to children, counselling and support groups, community support, coping with life after treatment and travel insurance. We also offer complementary therapies to Christie patients and referral to free local therapy providers for all patients and carers. We have a hand care service for any patients and families (Christie or non-Christie) which is a drop in service offering hand and arm massage and manicures and is run by fully qualified volunteers. There are more therapists and a wider range of appointments available for complementary therapies at the main Christie site in Manchester. Other services available include: wig and headwear sales and advice, benefits appointments and referrals to counselling, exercise schemes and support groups. Range of expert led, short workshops are available including managing cancer related fatigue, relaxation and skin and hair care. The HOPE course is also available at the information centre.
