We can offer support for: Anticipatory Grief/Carers/Family Support; Patient Support; Bereavement Support. Macmillan Support Services offers emotional and social support to adults living in North Tyneside and Northumberland through one to one and group support. Available for people with a cancer diagnosis or life limiting illness and bereaved. Patients are assessed by a coordinator then support is provided by a volunteer. Support is offered to clients face to face within their own homes or at a community base. Group/peer support may be offered via a Walk & Talk group or Bereavement groups. We also hold an annual Remembrance service. Referral criteria: Adults Over 18. Living in, or with a GP in North Tyneside or Northumberland. Any cause of death. Any relationship. No current complex mental health issues. No current alcohol or drug dependency issues. Referral from health professionals. Referral via email/post.
