Practical Help and Support Groups

Soft tissue sarcomas
This support group service offers anyone affected by sarcoma to share experiences, help, advise and support one another through a safe, confidential and friendly environment. Often fun evenings are arranged with a dining experience. Speakers are invited to talk, benefits advice, diet and nutrition, new treatments in sarcoma, role of the Macmillan Sarcoma Specialist Nurse and Team. Sarcoma UK’s long-term vision is that all people with sarcoma will be diagnosed earlier, have better experiences and live longer lives with fewer long-term side effects. Enabling patients to have access to peer support is a key part of achieving this. Local sarcoma support groups are run independently of, but are supported by, Sarcoma UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT) and GIST Cancer UK. George Davis Building, Leicester University Or ZOOM virtual support group held every third Tuesday of the month.
