Our partnership with Toolstation
Toolstation chose Macmillan as their charity partner in 2020, and have gone on to raise over £2 million, making a huge difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.
Our partnership
Bridgwater based Toolstation has raised £2 million for Macmillan Cancer Support in just three years, after our partnership began in 2020.
Fundraising by teams all across the Toolstation business, including those at its distribution and support centre, and its 550 stores ensured the partnership reached this fantastic milestone in August 2023. Support centre colleagues took part in a Tough Mudder challenge, its finance team carried out a 563-mile walk, while several directors from its support centre ran the London Marathon for a third consecutive time in 2023.
Other fundraising activities have included participating in Macmillan’s Brave the Shave campaign, sponsored dog walking, team walking events, fancy-dress days and Coffee Morning. These activities were supported by in-store customer donations during the Easter and August bank holidays and collaboration with micro-donation charity donation charity Pennies.
There have also been fantastic collaborations with suppliers offering hampers for prize draws held in store, or creating Cause Related Marketing products. We currently have a Macmillan-branded charging cable for sale with a £1 donation to Macmillan per product.
