Rajnish Gupta is senior medical editor at Macmillan for information about lymphomas (cancers of the lymphatic system). He graduated in 1985 from St. George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London. He then specialised in Medical Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital and St. Bartholomew's Hospital London. He was appointed Consultant in Medical Oncology at the Beatson Oncology Centre in Glasgow in 1993.
He moved back to St. Bartholomew's Hospital in 1996, as Consultant and Team Leader for an ICRF Research Group with an interest in the molecular basis of lymphoma. He moved to Ireland in late 1999 to help develop cancer services at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital. In 2010, he received the Treaty Stone Award from the Mayor of Limerick in recognition of his contribution to health services. His particular interests are people with lymphoma and germ cell tumours.
