Take on the Kent Downs 50 Challenge, venturing around the picturesque North Downs, Aylesford, the River Medway, and the Len Valley Walk to the majestic Leeds Castle. Sing up today, and go the extra mile for the 3 million people in the UK who are living with cancer.
About the event
Join Team Macmillan for this exciting new event for 2024!
Starting at a basecamp near Maidstone, with parking and weekend camping options, the main 50km looped route heads anticlockwise around the Kent Downs.
You'll get to explore the North Downs Way to Blue Bell Hill, then around picturesque Aylesford, and following the River Medway to Mote Park at halfway for a picnic. Then along the Len Valley Walk to the majestic Leeds Castle. Lastly, you follow the North Downs Way again heading to the showground finish line and celebration.
You'll get full support along the way, and with 25km and 10km options also available there's a Kent Down's Ultra Challenge waiting for you!

How to enter the Kent Downs 50 Ultra Challenge
All distance options have Charity, Mixed Funding or Self Fundraising for Charity options.
Charity Sponsorship
You pay a small registration fee, do lots of fundraising and we cover the cost of your event place! As we are an official Charity Partner – you get 50% off the standard registration fee below.
- 50km: £30 registration fee / £360 minimum fundraising pledge
- 25km: £20 registration fee / £249 minimum fundraising pledge
- 10km: £10 registration fee / £100 minimum fundraising pledge.
Mixed Funding
Pay half of the event place cost yourself, fundraise a bit less and we pay the balance of the event place cost.
- 50km: £75 registration fee / £225 minimum fundraising pledge
- 25km: £50 registration fee / £150 minimum fundraising pledge
- 10km: £22.50 registration fee / £70 minimum fundraising pledge.
Self Fundraising for Charity
You pay the full cost of the event place - fundraise whatever you want, with no set target or deadline, and there’s no cost at all to the charity!
- 50km: £139 registration fee / no minimum fundraising pledge - raise what you can
- 25km: £89 registration fee / no minimum fundraising pledge - raise what you can
- 10km: £39 registration fee / no minimum fundraising pledge - raise what you can!
