School and university fundraising
See how schools, colleges and universities are active in inspiring young people to support people living with cancer.
How it works
Fundraising ideas for your education setting
From green-themed dress down days to RAG (Raise and Give) week, we can offer ideas and support for teachers and leaders to help fundraise within their school, college or university.
Cake sale
Macmillan has a long relationship with cake – our Coffee Mornings are famous! Why not host a cake sale for students and staff to treat themselves to at lunch or break?
Coffee Morning
Why not go one step further and host a Coffee Morning for staff or the parents of your students. You could ask students or staff to bring in baked goods, or even bake them as a class activity. Find out more about hosting a Coffee Morning at school.
Dress down day
Choose a day and ask pupils to pay an amount to dress in a chosen theme like wild hair, sports or casual clothes. You could also mix and match this with any of the fundraising ideas below.
Go green for Macmillan
Choose a day for everyone to pay an amount to wear as much green as possible and have fun. Think green wigs, green t-shirts, or green themed food – the possibilities are endless!
Match for Macmillan
Host a Match for Macmillan and get competitive within your school or university. Charge parents to come and watch or pupils for taking part, hold a raffle at the event, or sell half time goodies. From rounders to football, there is something for everyone. Have a look at our content on organising a sport's tournament for more information.
RAG (Raise and give)
We can help you design a calendar of fundraising events as part of your RAG programme including UK based challenges, international challenges, volunteering opportunities and fundraising events. Please contact the Supporter Care Hub who will put you in touch with your local Fundraising Manager for more information.
