New information about histology independent therapies

Macmillan has launched information about HITs (histology independent therapies), a cutting-edge cancer treatment. The content was co-created by people with a lived experience of cancer, who shared their insight and helped plan the information from its earliest stages.

Macmillan also worked in partnership with NHS England, Cancer Research UK, Sarcoma UK and Teenage Cancer Trust to develop the new content.

Dany Bell, Specialist Adviser for Treatment, Medicines and Genomics at Macmillan said, “We’re delighted to offer new content about this treatment for cancers with rare genetic changes and we encourage professionals to share it with the people they support.”
