About the Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike
Starting at Penrice Castle, the Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike will take you along the beautiful coastline of the UKs first designated ‘National Landscape’ with sweeping views of Rhosilli Bay and Worms’ Head. It’s a route that will get your blood pumping, with several hills and sections of beach walking.
Hike solo and meet friends along the way or sign up with a team of friends and family for a memorable day together.

When and where does the Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike start and finish?
The full marathon and half marathon start at Penrice Castle, SA3 1LA.
The half marathon finishes in Rhossili, SA3 1PR. The full marathon is a circular route, and finishes back at Penrice Castle.
The full marathon waves will start every 20 minutes from 06:30, and the half marathon waves will start every 20 minutes from 09:10.

What is the Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike route?
The Gower Peninsula was the first place in Britain to be named a National Landscape with its sweeping beaches and beautiful cliffs. You'll start in the ruins of Penrice Castle before walking clockwise around the peninsula, past Oxwich Bay Beach and Port Eynon Beach. The half marathon will then end in Rhossili, with the full marathon circling back to Penrice Castle.

Where should I stay for the Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike?
Penrice Castle is about 30 minutes from Swansea along the A4118, and with multiple accommodation options we recommend staying in or close to Swansea.

How do I get there?
We recommend having access to a vehicle to get to this event.
Parking for the full and half marathon is at Penrice Castle, SA3 1LA.
Free shuttle buses will run from the half marathon finish at Rhossili back to the car park in the afternoon.
You can book parking and shuttle buses when you register.
