About the Thames Path Mighty Hike
The Thames Path Mighty Hike is one of our flatter routes and perfect for all abilities! Starting in the historical market town of Windsor, you’ll walk along excellent riverside trails, towards the pretty town of Cookham.
Hike solo and meet friends along the way or sign up with a team of friends and family for a memorable day together.

When and where does the Thames Path Mighty Hike start and finish?
The full marathon and half marathon start at South Meadow (Eton College), South Meadow Lane.
The half marathon finishes at Marsh Meadow, SL6 9SB. The full marathon finishes at Temple Island Meadows, Remenham Farm, RG9 3DB.
The full marathon waves will start every 20 minutes from 08:10, and the half marathon waves will start every 20 minutes from 09:30. -
What is the Thames Path Mighty Hike route?
The Thames Path Mighty Hike starts in the beautiful town of Windsor, winding past the famous royal Windsor Castle before heading down to the iconic Thames Path. The half marathon finishes just north of Cookham, and the full marathon continues on to Mill Meadows in Henley-on-Thames.

Where should I stay for the Thames Path Mighty Hike?
The start line at Eton College is located in close walking proximity to the town of Windsor so we recommend staying here for the hike. Alternatively, there are also frequent trains into central London, arriving at Windsor & Eton Central and Riverside stations.

How do I get there?You can walk to the start line at Eton College within 10 minutes from central Windsor.
Parking for the full and half marathons at available at the finish line for the full marathon, located at Temple Island Meadows, Remenham Farm, RG9 3DB.
Free shuttle buses will run from Temple Island Meadows to the start line in Eton on the morning of the hike, and from the half marathon finish line back to the car park after the hike.
You can book parking and shuttle buses when you register. -
What if my Mighty Hike gets cancelled?If your Mighty Hike is cancelled for any reason, you’ll be contacted by email and text and live updates will be made to this FAQ document with all the information you need.
