  • When and where does the Thames Path Mighty Hike start and finish?

    The full marathon and half marathon start at Windsor Racecourse, Windsor, SL4 5JJ.

    The half marathon finishes at Marsh Meadow, SL6 9SB. The full marathon finishes at Mill Meadows, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 1BF.

    The full marathon waves will start every 20 minutes from 08:10, and the half marathon waves will start every 20 minutes from 09:30. 

  • What is the Thames Path Mighty Hike route?

    The Thames Path Mighty Hike starts in the beautiful town of Windsor, winding past the famous royal Windsor Castle before heading down to the iconic Thames Path. The half marathon finishes just north of Cookham, and the full marathon continues on to Mill Meadows in Henley-on-Thames.

    Please note that the routes can be subject to change following health and safety inspections. Any key changes will be communicated on the day. 

  • What are the route highlights for the Thames Path Mighty Hike?

    Along this stunning route, you'll experience:

    1. Windsor Castle - the majestic, historical royal residence brimming with grandeur.
    2. Marlow Suspension Bridge - an elegant bridge with stunning views of the River Thames.
    3. Temple Island - a tranquil spot steeped in beauty and history.

  • Where should I stay for the Thames Path Mighty Hike?

    Windsor Racecourse is based just off the A308 and in very close proximity to the town of Windsor so we recommend here for the hike. Alternatively, there are also frequent trains into central London.

  • How do I get there?

    We recommend having access to a vehicle or bike to get to this event. 

    Parking for the full marathon and half marathon is available at the start at Windsor Racecourse, Windsor, SL4 5JJ.

    Free shuttle buses will run from both finish lines back to the car park in the afternoon.

    You can book parking and shuttle buses when you register.

  • What if my Mighty Hike gets cancelled?
    If your Mighty Hike is cancelled for any reason, you’ll be contacted by email and text and live updates will be made to this FAQ document with all the information you need.
