Macmillan parkrun takeover for World Cancer Day
Macmillan are proud to be a charity partner of parkrun - an organisation which promotes inclusivity, the benefits of physical activity and a community atmosphere as all events are organised by volunteers.
About the World Cancer Day parkrun weekend
At Macmillan we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. We are excited to be an official charity partner of parkrun UK which offers local communities a free and inclusive 5km event
As part of our partnership, we are hosting Macmillan takeovers at parkrun throughout 2024, to increase awareness of Macmillan services, so everyone living with cancer knows that we are there to support them from the point of diagnosis.
How to take part
To commemorate World Cancer Day 2024, and the 3 million people living with cancer in the UK, attend your local parkrun on 3rd February and wear something green.
