Sonia Sudhakar, Chief Engagement Officer
Sonia's role
Sonia is responsible for our work to build on our heritage and much-loved brand, in order to encourage and empower the UK public to become part of the Macmillan Community. This includes the millions of people who are affected by cancer, who come to Macmillan for information and support, as well as our brilliant fundraisers and volunteers, who donate over £200 million and over 100,000 hours each year to help us further our vital work.
As Chief Engagement Officer, Sonia oversees our interactions with the general public across all four nations of the UK, to ensure we’re reaching as many people as possible – and that they know how we can support them and / or how they can support us.
From providing support to stewarding our fundraisers and volunteers, our aim is to ensure that everyone has the best experience of Macmillan so that we can build deeper, longer-term relationships.
Career and credentials

The non-work stuff
Sonia lives in North London with her wife and teenage son. When she’s not working she can be found cooking and taking her Cavapoo Murphy on walks.
